About Me

I have had a very interesting work life.  When I was young right out of high school I became a Ironworker/welder which I worked at for about 12 years. I then went back to school and became a Computer Engineer. after approx 20 years in that field I got out and decided that I needed to get back to working with my hands. I really enjoyed working with metal and wood so I joined the American Blade Society and started to forge knives. also about this time i decided i needed to learn Metal engraving so I took my first engraving class at GRS in Kansas. Guess who was my first instructor, you guessed it  Chris DeCamilis. I have also studied under Manny Gonzales and Bertil Asland. A couple of years ago some things have happened in my life and I have not touched a graver for quite a while. However I am back trying to pick up where I left off. I finally got my engraving studio back up and I am able to start practicing again. I feel like I am starting all over again except I have allot more knowledge in my head than I did when I first started. I just wanted to say hello to chris and I look forward to learning more from you.
